Are you looking to download your Aadhar card but feeling a bit lost on where to start? Don’t worry; we’ve got you covered! In this easy-to-follow guide, we’ll walk you through the process step-by-step so you can have your Aadhar card downloaded hassle-free.
Step 1: Visit the Official UIDAI Website
First things first, head over to the official website of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI). You can do this by typing https://uidai.gov.in/ into your web browser’s address bar and hitting enter.
Step 2: Click on “Download Aadhar”
Once you’re on the UIDAI website, look for the “Download Aadhar” option and give it a click. This will take you to the Aadhar download page where you can proceed with getting your Aadhar card.
Step 3: Choose Your Option
On the download page, you’ll see two options: “Aadhar Number” and “Enrollment ID.” Depending on what you have available, select the option that fits your situation best.
Step 4: Fill in Your Details
After choosing the right option, you’ll need to fill in some details like your Aadhar number or Enrollment ID, your full name, pin code, and the security code shown on the page.
Step 5: Request for OTP
Once you’ve filled in all the required fields, hit the “Request OTP” button. This will trigger a one-time password (OTP) to be sent to the mobile number linked to your Aadhar.
Step 6: Enter the OTP
Check your mobile phone for the OTP and enter it into the designated field on the download page.
Step 7: Download Your Aadhar Card
With the OTP entered, click on the “Download Aadhar” button. Your Aadhar card will then be downloaded in PDF format.
Step 8: Enter Your Password
After downloading, open the PDF file and enter your password. The password is the first four letters of your name in CAPITAL letters followed by your birth year in YYYY format.
Step 9: Print Your Aadhar Card
Once you’ve entered the password and accessed your Aadhar card, you can print it out on an A4 size paper if you want a physical copy.
Congratulations! You’ve successfully downloaded your Aadhar card. Remember to store it safely as it’s an essential document serving as proof of identity and address.
If you run into any issues during the process, don’t hesitate to contact the UIDAI helpline or visit your nearest Aadhar enrollment center for assistance.
